Here is a tip for using the shadow crash pools. Normally, you don't want to use shadow crashes at all since it reduces your healing effectiveness by 75%, However, if you stack a triple LB on your tank while in the shadow crash, it will tick for the low value, but bloom for full value, and refund a good amount of mana to boot.

I used this a few weeks ago and I *think* this is still the case.

Peace,

Elk

The pre-HoT innervate is something I've always done; it's very effective! But after that...

In 25-man, the general rule is for Trees to do -nothing- until the Animus spawns (well, punch the boss for extra deeps). In 10-man, the rule is to do close to nothing (unless you're three healing it, then do completely nothing) until the Animus spawns.

A hint for normal mode Vezax, however, is to watch the boss's health with your mana pool. If they remain in sync or you remain slightly ahead, then you're doing great :D

I hadn't thought of using innervate, usually I just eat :)
We have been fortunate in having some really good disc priests who handle most of the healing load for this fight. Until the animus spawns I can usually just use the casting lifebloom from inside the shadowcrash patch to keep mana up and usually only need an occasional rejuve or nourish to help.

Swaping gear is essential for the fight to get the biggest mana pool. Use either spellpower or int trinkets. Learning the fight the old BC flask of distilled wisdom is best. I regret letting one of the many leather healing bracers from Razorscale get disenchanted. In hindsight I could have grabbed them and enchanted with int instead of spellpower.

Shadow protection pots should also be used when the animus spawns to help with the aoe damage.

I like that. I've played with the timing on that, but the way you put it, that's quite slick. ;)
