It was nuts! We had a DPS down for ages, then our priest died, and our shaman too – I was healing with the help of the ele shaman (I think – it was chaos) and I was spamming so hard that I didn’t even notice that we’d won.

Suddenly there was a bunch of hollering on vent, and I said “Did we win?”

I was really surprised at the simplicity of the fight.. I know we’re doing it in a bit of 245 gear now that we’re clearing TOGC10, but even so.. we nearly one-shot him last night.

Months behind, but still awesome. Can’t wait to smash Icecrown.

We might give it a go, but I think Icecrown will come out and we’ll give it up – then come back later, at which point it won’t be any real achievement anymore, more a case of checking off the box to say we’ve done it.

That’s why I’m looking forward to Icecrown – because our guild split set us back so far, we didn’t really have a chance to compete. When Icecrown comes out, apart from maybe a bit of 25man hardmode gear floating around in other guilds, we’ll basically have an even playing field and all be starting from the same place.

I don’t miss 25mans very much, but I do like to be competitive.
