It's a lot harder for tanks to get away with being undergeared than healers - I'll say that much. As a backround to this, I leveled up another warrior (same name, same race and everything) and hit 80 a few days ago. No one ever appreciates a tank with about 21k health; A rogue asked me the other day if I was dual-specced because my health pool was at 23k while putting together a heroic HoS run (he was kicked and promptly replaced). There is no chance on getting into even a VoA or Naxx10 run because of this either.

The only edge that I have is a pocket healer though, so slapping 3 dps into a group with us and going on a run isn't too rough. The heroics and raids I tank go silky smooth too, but what do I know since I don't have 35k+ health unbuffed? :P

I generally don't consider guild pugs to be pugs. For example, my last ToC-10 run was short three of our regular raiders for that run. We took three people from our guild. Only one was a main that hadn't been before. The other two were alts of raiders from another night's run. It is kinda hard to call that a pug. Especially when you roll right through the place (only 1 wipe on faction champs).

OTOH, picking up an entire group out of trade/general chat or LFG is a pug. It can be really hit and miss. The last heroic pug I healed I only did half of. It seems the tank was ungeared and their healer quit. He wasn't that hard to heal. I even cast a few hurricanes at the trash.

Heh. The people who argue semantics always kill me. "It's not *really* a pug unless 100% of the people are picked up randomly" Kinda silly. My guild has over 300 members (including alts) and I rarely raid with the same people. Are we 'more of a pug?' lol Splitting hairs.

While the new pug feature might be cool I'm a little worried about the teleport thing. I can see a lot of bad things happening. The tank leaves his tanking gear in the bank. The caster dps leave their mana pots in the bank. That sort of stuff.
Seriously peeps, buy a freaking bag already.

The biggest thing I hate about pugging are afk'ers. "Are we ready to pull?"
"Sure, just let me eat dinner first." Walk the dogs, go pick up the girlfriend, drop a friend off at the airport...

As for trees running out of mana, I think I can count on one hand the number of times that has happened to me. Ever. Between innervate and mana pots it just should not happen.

Other fun things for bored trees:
dps: Put regrowth and rejuvenation on the tank, pop out of tree form, and start blasting away.
kill the meter: Never stop casting. Heal everyone all the time. Because nothing says bored like 80% overhealing.
turn off grid/healbot: heal the old fashioned way. Click on the toon, cast. I have a fairly standard UI. My healing spells are still on it.

LoL you know what's funny about you stripping down to heal heroics... I was bored last week and my warlock friend and I decided it would be "fun" to run heroics in our Teir 1. Oh, and you can't go into tree form with T1 on, or nobody can see how cool you look!! We only did VH, but it was kinda fun

I'm not a fan of PUGing myself, but I do look forward to that cute little pet!

I don't mind doing pugs on my healer. But I am kind've burnt out by the time I log in with raiding so much to enjoy pugging other things. I love dpsing on my hunter but at times I feel like it's such a competition to even find a slot in a group on her. SO MANY HUNTERS -cries- It's crazy how fast I can find pugs as a healer although.

Jaedia: Hi there! :) I really agree. I love pugging. Not so I can get a pat on the back for doing a good job, but because I love mixing with new people.. and coming together with complete strangers to get something done. I'm always pleasantly surprised when a pug group is quick and smooth (I find myself silently hoping for things to go bad, sometimes, so I have a challenge!).. I enjoy them a lot, good or bad. They're just refreshing.

Even the horrible ones! :P

Kae: Sometimes I heal with my chef hat on.. but that's because I'm a big dope, and I keep my helm hidden. I think I also healed without my gear on once.. because I was in tree form and didn't realise I was naked. :/ I'm so clever.

Cogfizzle: Shouldn't you be dancing on a mailbox somewhere? :D

Beru & Littlebark: whoopsie.. I didn't really make a big deal about it, but yes, I moved Kiiva to Horde because I found I just couldn't be away from the Horde any longer, and had to go back to Keeva (for 3.2). Then Kiiva was being neglected.. and I thought she would be a nice backup healer for our guild if she was Horde also. I think I may have posted a one-liner about it ages ago, but the Search is being slow so I can't see.

I now have 5 druids.

Tauren Keeva on Caelestrasz (80)
Tauren Kiiva on Caelestrasz (80)
Tauren Drucie on Caelestrasz (74)
NE Kiiva back on Mannoroth (70)
NE Caoimhe on Caelestrasz (70)

(for the Horde! :P )

I was gonna ask the same question as Beruthiel. I thought Kiiva was a NE and Keeva the moocow.

Congrats on your sucessful PuGs! I only know of one on my server that can do this. Unfortunatley, he's a real douche.
