Well you could always sit around and collect pets. XD

Ok, just poking fun. I agree with you. Right now, everything boa is reasonably hard to get. One requires WG or epic farming while under control of WG. The other requires the very tedious acquisition of champion marks and crusader status. Granted, a couple can be bought with excess heroism emblems, but not many. I like it that way.

If they want to make it easier for people with alts, they should just focus on reducing annoying stuff (like they did with the CW flying tome) or dropping prices on stupid gold sinks like epic flying skill. Make it 1k for alts or something.

I think they did a fine job of making equipment more available to low leveled alts, however, just by opening up the cross server lfg. We can ACTUALLY earn gear for ourselves at level 20 without having to get a guildie to run us. XP and loot. *perfect*

I adore Gnomeaggedon. He often has a ton of good ideas about things to improve in the game. This idea however isn't one I would embrace. Not at all.
As you point out: 1. What would there be left to do in the game? It's almost like buying your toon on e-bay.
2. How would you learn to play your toon. Skill doesn't come automatically with gear. I would dread to party with those never-played alts decked out in Tier 9.

I wouldn't like to see EVERYthing go BoA. As you have said quite well, it's part of the game to upgrade your character, even your alts. Otherwise, its just the same as having Paid Class Changes, really. Would love to share achievements, though... One of the main reasons I keep playing my Druid is cos of the embarrassing amount of /played and all the nifty achieves I've got. I don't bother trying for achievements on any of my alts.

And gearing up is really not hard now... I had a guildy ding 80 on patch day, one week of grinding heroics diligently, he has a GearScore of 4500... which is good for ToC10, FYI. (He's really keen to get to tanking, but I ain't letting him till he does at least ONE bloody raid!)

BTW, Keeva, whats your thoughts on the Glyph of Rapid Rejuvination? As an offspec healer, with 600ish haste, I've found it really hard to keep rejuve up on all targets. Maybe this would be better for PvP than PvE...

I love BOA, but I always think it should be quality of life stuff not end game content. I'm all for craftable BOA items, more BOA gear. BOA rep items ... but it should never replace raiding gear or pvp gear ... it should be there to help you get an alt to level cap and then ANY purple item should be a better alternative.

I'm not in favour of badges being BOA because then, for example, I could farm out the badges on my Resto druid (which I'm far more confortable playing) and kit our my prot paladin in tier 9. Much as that would be easier on me, I'd have the gear of a decent tank - without the knowledge and experience.

Have you guys considered turning your old badges (except the Justice ones) for epic gems ? Sell them on the AH, or stockpile for future use.

Use them up BEFORE the xpac otherwise they become truley useless

Keeva ... best Resto Druid blog bar none ... and a fellow Aussie to boot :)

I'd like to see retired emblems/badges become BoA.
So right now, you'd be able to assemble all your emblems of heroism, valor, and triumph on one toon and possibly be able to buy something with them.

What I've done for now is to downgrade my old emblems and buy BoA gear for my alts with them. Still, it would be nice to be able to get an item or two for my alts with all the old emblems I have lying around.

OTOH, I know people who have hundreds of old emblems. They could completely equip an alt with the amount they have.

Even though the idea of having the lower level tokens become BOA sounds appealing its almost not worth the effort to farm them, By doing the three new ICC heroics and then farming them as well as HTOC you can get your character geared in lvl 232 and 219 gear in almost no time at all. Even just farming the regular mode ICC 5 mans will put you on a high gear level.

The only thing that I would really like for bliz to do is to include a line on your achievements that also names your other characters that have achieved that specific achievement. People are so stuck on WH score and Achievements that it is hard to get into a pug now on the older raids if you cant show you’ve done it before. At least by being able to show you have done it on an alt, you will no longer be considered a noob and may get into that pug.

I have an alt Hunter that use to be my main in BC but haven’t had much attention because I’ve been only playing my druid since the release of wotlk. Now that im trying to get my hunter into pugs with a 2550wh gear score, nobody wants to give me the time of day because I don’t have an achievement. Sorry experienced players only is all I hear . Yet when I go show my druid achieves I'm in before I can say resto.

No, they should not make EoH BoA. If you can't farm the emblems yourself, why do you need to deck out your character? That's the fun in playing an alt, that you suddenly have something to do again. :)

What they should have done is not upgrading the badges in heroics but add the higher levels.

A heroic boss these days should drop 1 EoH, 1 EoV, 1 EoC and 1 EoT. As it is now, EoH gear is worthless. No one is going to spend 40 EoT to buy an ilvl 200 trinket. But if you would get EoH and EoT, you couldn't use them for anything else and would have more options to deck out your char.

From the PoV of a former officer of a casual raiding guild... the "I'm taking this for my alt" bit makes me cringe, especially. We had trouble enough convincing people to decide on a main and actually put proper care and attention into their gear. There is every likelihood that some players will pass what would be an upgrade for their raiding character off to an "alt" that they just happen to be flavor-of-the-monthing on, harming the guild as far as its raiding progression.

Of course, stuff like that is why I no longer play in a casual-raiding guild, and why I was having panic attacks trying to wrangle them back then :)
