All the melee run in when he knocks them all back….and everyone immediately dies to the shatter (except, luckily, the warrior tank). I seriously did not know shatter could be so painful. Guess who gets blamed?

Guess who also gets nagged to brez everyone? Yes, everyone. o_O

So me and the warrior 2man it, I rez the DPS and sit down to drink (it was a terribly long fight). They immediately set off to pull the next group at half health, while the tank is faithfully by my side, and all three die.

I got called probably every nasty name in the book by these two DKs, who promptly left the group (saved me the trouble actually… I was worried I’d be vote kicked out since the one DK was in the same guild as the prot warrior.)

After they left, I said to the tank, “I’m sorry if he was your buddy, but he was an idiot.” To which the tank replied, “:)”

An armory later that night revealed he was no longer guilded.

This group really sucks with my paladin. I have no idea how I could tank them. They are to far apart for Avenger’s Shield to jump. Consecration doesn’t cover the whole area because it has a too small size. They are casters and don’t hit you, therefore holy shield doesn’t work. I haven’t seen an opportunity to LoS them besides walking all back to the entrance with bubble and let the group wait there…?

Someone have an idea how a paladin can tank this group? It’s always a nightmare for the healer when I tank these groups. I mean, I can see that the whole group looses health.

It really isn’t that hard. Blizzard made all the blue items with LOTS of defense so new tanks could get properly geared to do heorics in pug’s

Tanking while not defense capped and with low health isn’t usually a problem in heroics, as long as there is some skill to compensate for it along with a healer who knows what’s going on and can handle it. I was able to MT Naxx10 with 23k health unbuffed and at 500 defense without any major difficulties. My healers’ gear was about the same level, but like me they knew the encounters going in so it was a smooth run.

I’m ok with a tank having low health so long as they have everything else in order. But upon inspecting the paladin I noticed the following:
1. He had a spell power ring from Hallow’s End
2. He had buffed himself with Kings
3. He was wearing mail.

So I asked him was he def capped. His response, no I got my account hacked and I’m rebuilding but my defense is at 400 !!

So I simply responded, The cloth mage in our group can obtain a defense rating of 400 I’m sorry but can you please leave the group as I am not healing you. I then shadowmelded and the rest of the party moved behind me.

He ranted and said he wasn’t leaving, but then did leave shortly after. That was my one and only bad experience as a healer … as a tank however … so so many bad experiences. I can’t tell you the number of times I have had to bubble (paladin tank) so all the aggro transfers to the idiot dps who pulled for me to “speed” things up. Rogues and hunter’s are the worst for this

I don’t mind healing the group through random damage and mobs that decide to pick on one person.. but when the entire group takes damage because the entire group is attacking whatever mob they feel like, then I get cranky. Especially when they all claim to be attacking the tank’s target, but I can see bullets flying to the left and lightning to the right – a sure sign that they are either clueless, or don’t care.

And I refuse to do the ledge strat because I don’t believe in “cheesing” encounters. I’m sure others will cry “creative use of game mechanics”, but I believe it’s just laziness. If the group feel they can’t do that part of the encounter properly, then they shouldn’t be attempting HoR.
