I know we’re all about the druids and such but I was wondering if you had any expertise with power auras concerning shaman totems? I’ve been trying to configure my shammy alt’s power auras to tell me when my magma or searing totem isn’t active but I just can’t figure it out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,
Thanks for the post. These are really useful. For some reason, I could not get the Nature’s Swiftness aura to work. When I ctrl + clicked the aura icon (in the power auras config menu) it said it was not working because the spell was not enabled. Any ideas what might be going on? I’m not much of a power auras veteran myself.

Just go into the settings for Nature’s Swiftness
The Rewrite the spellname “Nature’s Swiftness”.

It seems like you could eliminate some screen clutter if you got rid of some of the “X is ready” auras. For instance, if Rebirth is ever not ready, you have the timer displaying the cooldown. Instead of relying on another abstract power aura to tell you that Rebirth is ready, shouldn’t the absence of the cooldown timer let you know? That way you have fewer things cluttering your UI.

I actually don’t have the Rebirth timer in that form anymore, my UI has changed a bit. You have to realise that this was my first go at PA, and I was excited to show everything that I could
I wanted to keep everything around my character at the time, so I could have it function as a HUD, but I’ve since found that it’s not entirely fitting with my style.
Rebirth has gone, Barkskin has changed to a thin ring (like Rebirth’s old PA), WG is gone. NS & Swiftmend have been moved. Only the Innervate ring and thin Barkskin ring are near my character, and they don’t obscure my view of my surroundings.
The reason I use “X is ready” triggers is because that is what actually triggers me to use things. I would forget to use Innervate if I didn’t have my runed ring around me. It’s not necessarily a “Innervate is ready when you need it”, but a “hey, don’t forget to use Innervate.” Basically a lot of my prompts function by annoying me, and by annoying me they get their attention. My baby priest has a big annoying fort icon that comes up when fort is missing. Or a skull to say “you forgot to DoT this mob” (or it expired).
I realise it seems redundant to have something showing when the ability is fine and ready to go – when I could just have nothing normally and a timer if on cooldown – but it’s how I prompt myself to use certain things.

So much thanks to Keeva for getting me hooked on Power Auras. They fundamentally changed the way I raid and I feel completely useless without them, especially after the patch when my UI was broken. In the following weeks I tweeked things to keep up with a few critical changes that we really need to be watching like hawks. Tree of Life only lasts 30 seconds and has a 3 minute cooldown. Thorns is OP and should be on the main tank whenever it’s off cooldown. Finally, I went from being able to spam nourish all day without a concern in the world to really having to budget mana while raiding. As an aggressive “Always Be Casting” button masher, Keeva’s alarm when Innervate becomes available wasn’t enough. I’m actually using it on myself and I want it the second it’s up so I added a cooldown indicator for Innervate next to my raid frames.
Brief explanation: The Tree of Life icon and countdown timer are in the center bottom of my Power Aura array, directly over where Keeva’s Well-Fed and Flask icons go when those buffs are down. And they’re BIG. The Tree of Life and Innervate cooldown timers go to the right of my raid frames directly next to my own frame so they don’t clutter up the main array but are easily visible. The Thorns indicator sit to the left of the main array. It’s just a the regular Thorns icon with a legend indicator whether it’s up or down and a timer while it’s on cooldown.

I’ll have to update my PA info sometime soon – so much has changed since I posted this!
I couldn’t be without Power Auras now. It’s just too useful.

I would love to see some updates to this when you have time Keeva. I have just stumbled upon this mod it look like it would be a great benefit to me.
