Guide: Druid healing in 4.0
Sep 30th
I’ve put together a guide for resto druid healing in Patch 4.0. MMO-Champion has just announced a prediction of this coming reset, or the one after – nice timing!
The information is, of course, subject to change – resto druids are still a work in progress and the talents, abilities and strategies could change overnight. If this happens, I will endeavour to edit the guide and rearrange the strategies as required. [...]
Druid round table podcast this weekend
Sep 30th
This weekend I’ll be chatting with the folks from Raid Warning, for their druid round table podcast. Got druid questions? Lay ‘em on me – or you can email them directly to Raid Warning [...]
Bind on Lazy? Let’s talk BOAs.
Sep 27th
In response to my suggestion of an account-wide BOA interface, Poneria of Fel Concentration ranted that BOAs are pure laziness, and ruin the levelling experience.
(As frequently happens) I was going to leave a reply, but the reply itself ended up being post-length, so I figured I might post it here instead and start up a discussion. [...]
What’s your petty wishlist for WoW?
Sep 26th
Ever stop suddenly while you’re playing and think, “I really wish we could (insert trivial change here)”?
I’m not talking about flying in Azeroth, changing races, anything big. I’m talking about the small things (or the subjectively small things) that, in our own humble opinions, would make things so much better. We wouldn’t dream of taking dev time away from real issues, but secretly we hope that something might get slipped in on the sly sometime.
We’re up to our eyeballs at the moment with new abilities, mechanics, lore – and there’s still much work to be done before Cataclysm ships – but what about the nitty gritty stuff that we want to see brought in?
Cataclysm: More resto tweaks in the right direction
Sep 26th
Some more beta tweaks, this time to ToL and Efflorescence – resto druids are definitely coming together now; we’re in a much better place than we were a few weeks ago. [...]
Cataclysm: 4.0 PTR patch 13033 – druid changes
Sep 24th
Sorry Cataphobes, I’m afraid it’s another news-barf from MMO-Champion. Some small changes to druids in this PTR patch. If you’re not interested in mechanics and spell changes, please skip (it’s not terribly interesting news anyway).
Passive aggressive people drive me NUTS
Sep 23rd
This is entirely off-topic, but I need to vent. A month ago I started my new job. My boss is paying for an allocated parking space for me (possibly one of the best perks of the job), space number 5 in about 16 spaces. It’s paid for, allocated, all above board. A couple of weeks
Is your blog going through a dry spell?
Sep 21st
If you’re anything like me, you’ll really want your blog to be a reliable (and enjoyable) resource for your readers, and you’ll feel like you’re “slipping” if you don’t post frequently.
Despite our best intentions, sometimes we are busy, or tired, or we don’t feel particularly inspired to write; but come the feelings of guilt, that you’re letting your readers (and yourself) down by being a bit slap-happy with your posting.
Blogging is something that is very easy to jump into, but momentum can be hard to maintain. Here are some tips to help you keep your content rolling, even when you don’t know what to write. [...]
New resto druid Mastery

The squeaky trees get the grease!
GC acknowledged that the original mastery was not so great, and gave us a new one: [...]
GC’s comments on Nourish nerfs, Revitalize, pre-HoTs
Sep 19th
As others have pointed out, we nerfed all of the medium heals.
Very early in beta, some healers were freaking out about running out of mana. To counter this, we made the medium heals really cost effective. We probably overdid it, because more recently, healers were able to handle almost everything with just that one heal. We want it to be part of your package, not your whole package. [...]

My name is Emma and I live in Australia. I’ve been gaming on and off since I was about 11. I won’t tell you exactly how long ago that was, let’s just say long enough.
